Deer Moat has the most nature that one can get within the city of Prague. In the earlier days, deer moat was used for hunting, thus the name, but since 1742, it has been empty of any deer population.

Deer Moat has also been used as a garbage disposal as well as storage for collections of items not sold at auctions by previous rulers.

Today both parts of the Deer Moat can be visited. In the upper part has a small meadow with paths and benches scattered throughout. The lower part has remained natural to its past.
