Dating back to the 18th century, The Loreto ranks as one of the most visited destinations in all of Bohemia. When entering the Loreto you can expect to see statues of saints and a marble coat of arms which stand above them. Outside you will see the Baroque bell tower that houses 27 bells that ring out to honor the Virgin every hour.
The Lobkowitz family found the church, but the following generations have been caring for it, today though it rest in the hands of the Capuchin monks as a part of the monastery. The Loreto has preserved spiritual life of czech as well as preserving it. Since the beginning days of the Loreto, the Carillon, a musical instrument has been used in this church has called out to visitor and demands attention from all who visit this place.
Over the course of the last four centuries, renovations have been made. Interiors first in the 19th century. Then in the mid 20th century, a treasury was built and made accessible to the public. Today the Loreto can be visited in Hradcany.
