Info:

The building of the National Theatre in Prague belongs to the most memorable buildings not only in Prague but in the whole Czech Republic. The corner stone of the National Theatre has been placed on 16.5.1868. It has been built according to the plan of an architect Josef Zítek in the style of late North Italian Renaissance. The first opening took place in July 1881. In August this year, before the theatre was opened to the public, it burned up. The grand re-opening took place on 18.11.1883, thanks to the financial help of the wide public.

On the way from the National Theatre we can make stop at the Legion Bridge that shows us the unique view at the skyline of the Prague Castle.
