One of the best preserved palaces from the late 16th century. Along with the Royal Summer Palace, they are the most impressive renaissance buildings in Prague.
The style of the Palace is Czech Renaissance combining Italian patterns with Czech traditions. The facades are richly decorated with black and white Italian and Venetianstyle Sgraffitto dating bach to 1567.
Since 2008, it houses the National Gallery pernament exhibition - Baroque Art in Bohemia - sculpture and paintings from the late renaissance and baroque periods (M. B. Braun, K Škréta, F. M. Brokof, P. Brandl, V. V. Reiner).
