Between World War I and World War II, the Rudolfinum served a purpose other than was it was intended. It housed parliament. After the second war though it returned to its original purpose, to provide beautiful music and art displays.

The Rudolfinum includes two halls, Dvorak and Suk. The Dvorak Hall was named after the czech composer, it lives up to the reputation of Dvorak. A grand hall deserves a grand name, who better than one who makes grand music. The smaller Suk hall is used for soloist performances, both vocal and instrumental.

The history of the Rudolfinum dates back to 1881. three years later sculptures were added in the attic gable. Within the same year all surrounding spaces were furnished. Since then constant renovations have taken place.
