You will have the opportunity to see this rather unusual project with your own eyes on Tuesday 15th December in Holešovice Port between half past six and half past eight. There will also be an interesting programme.
The project is the outcome of an initiative of an open group of several hundreds of young people from Prague and elsewhere. Most of them are aged between fifteen and twenty-two and their attitude towards things, people and traditions is fresh and unusual. So far, this group has been meeting in a “go-kart-rock” church on the grounds of the former Walter factory, Prague.
The number of visitors to events organized by these young Christians keeps increasing, that is why the youth came up with the Church on the Boat project. There is never enough resources for such daring plans so the people around the project decided to bring it closer to the attention of the wider public by organizing its presentation entitled Open Cabin Day. Visitors can look forward to refreshments, live music and most of all the visualization of the whole project and to learn some interesting facts about it. The place is easy to find. Follow the signs from Maniny tram stop, leading through Libeň Bridge subway, past the Lighthouse Building and the summer anchorage for the boat Tajemství.
