Come and enjoy the Flower duet and an entertaining afternoon on the river bank on January 1st!
The traditional New Year’s Day firework display is going to be launched from a 70 m boat on the river. New to the scene is the music accompaniment as well as an entertaining afternoon for all Praguers.
The experience will climax with the dazzling pyrotechnic extravaganza erupting from the Dvořák and Edvard Beneš embankments, Čech and Štefánik bridges and the slope below the Letná metronome.
The fifteen minute pyrotechnic performance will be accompanied by the musical gems by Verdi, Prokofjev, Gerschwin or Beethoven. People standing directly on the river banks will be able to hear everything on the spot and those watching the show from further away can listen to radio Regina, 96, 2 FM.
The celebrations of the coming New Year aren’t only fireworks though. Besides the New Year’s Day speech of the Lord Mayor of Prague (at 5.05 p.m. on Radio Regina), there will be an entertaining afternoon starting at 3 p.m. You can see the music bands Bek Ofis, Cactus band or Mandrage. People can also sing karaoke and play for various prizes.
