The popular music band the Tap Tap will be making waves in Theatre Archa at the end of March; they are united not only in their dedication to music but by the fact that they are all physically challenged in one form or another.
Tap Tap’s member’s are from the Jedlička Institute and established the band twelve years ago with musician Simon Ornest; to date the group has played a multitude of gigs on the home front and have also performed in Brussels.
The Tap Tap is organising “Party on Wheels” for the eighth time this year, it’s taking place in Theatre Archa on 27th March. It will also be the launch of the band’s new CD, which was recorded with Orchestra Berg and Prague’s mixed choir La Grande Bande in SONO RECORDS studio.
Celebrity entourage
David Koller, Matej Ruppert, Kamil Strihavka, Ewa Farna and others who participated on the creation of the CD will co-host the show together with the physically challenged and highly talented musicians. The concert and launch of the CD are not only one of the significant cultural events of the season but the event also marks the result of a positive musical mission by current students from Prague’s Jedlička Institute.

“It is fantastic when people can overcome their disabilities and gain a foothold in the cultural mix of normal life. Witnessing their talents blending together with leading Czech artists and music groups is a real pleasure,” said Pavel Bém, Prague’s Mayor, about group the Tap Tap.
The proceeds will go to centre’s equipment
All the proceeds made on entry fees will go towards technological equipment in educational centre STUDEO, whose construction will start in 2011 in JUS arena.
