As of 1st September, Prague Integrated Transport will see some adjustments to its operation. These will mostly concern the underground, but there will be some partial adjustments to tram and bus routes, too.

“There will be permanent changes to  metro, tram and bus timetables within Prague Integrated Transport”, said the spokesperson for ROPID, Filip Drápal. “It mostly concerns the prolongation of the weekend operation of the underground by approximately 1 hour and the related adjustments to the tram and bus connections. Tram routes will experience some partial changes on selected routes in relation to the gradual ending of long-term diversions. The changes in bus transportation will be mostly positive (prolongation of selected routes, better connections).

Prolongation of Metro Operation

Due to the increased demand for transportation on Friday and Saturday nights, the operation of the underground will be prolonged by 50 to 60 minutes approx. There will be daytime tram and bus connections linked with the new metro timetable. All the last underground trains will now go to their terminuses (which so far was not the case on line B).

Reinforcement of Metro line B operation

As a result of transportation surveys, the operation will be reinforced  at certain times (cca 6.00–9.30  and 13.00–20.00). The morning trains will increase their frequency by 10 % to the intervals of 140 s. In the afternoon the frequency will be increased by up to 20 % and at the most crowded times there will be a train every 150 s.

Adjustments to tram operations

• Tram n. 14 – between Lazarská and Zborovská will newly operate via Myslíkova and Jiráskovo náměstí stops in both directions;
• Tram n. 15 – in the direction from Vysočanská will terminate at Špejchar tram loop; at morning peak times the route is extended in the following way: Hradčanská–Dejvická–Červený Vrch–Divoká Šárka;
• Tram n. 21 – between Národní třída and Palackého náměstí will newly operate via  Karlovo náměstí and Moráň stops;
• Tram n. 25 – when the diversion has finished the route will be extended again up to Vypich tram stop;
• Tram n. 26 and 56 – between Masarykovo nádraží and Strossmayerovo náměstí the route will operate via Náměstí Republiky and Dlouhá třída stops.

Adjustment in bus operations

There will be more changes to the bus transportation than what is stated below. Those that are not mentioned here are only of a local character.

• Bus n. 102 – between Nádraží Holešovice and Kobylisy will operate all day for the whole week;
• Bus n. 110 – some buses will be extended to  Čakovice Shopping Centre–Třeboradice (–Teplárna Třeboradice) as a compensation for the shortened 269 bus route;
• Bus n. 151 – adjustments to the operation in relation to the changes in the operation of bus n. 158, between Poliklinika Prosek–Třeboradice in operation only on weekdays from cca. 6.00 to 18.00 h within a 30-minute interval;
• Bus n. 158 – at weekday peak-times the operation will be reinforced between Letňany and Čakovice Shopping Centre as a compensation for 151 and 269 bus routes;
• Bus n. 269 – operates on a new route: Čakovice Shopping Centre–Tupolevova–Letňany–Kbely–Satalice–Nádraží Horní Počernice–Ve Žlíbku–VÚ Běchovice–Pod Oborou–Hájek–Nádraží Uhříněves (operates only on weekdays up to cca 20.00 h);
• Bus n. 293 – extended in the following way: IKEM–Nemocnice Krč–Nádraží Krč–Poliklinika Budějovická;
• Bus n. 609 – new night bus route: Háje–Křeslice–Nové Pitkovice–Uhříněves–Říčany, průmysl. areál Černokostelecká–Říčany, Rychta–Mukařov–Vyžlovka–Kostelec nad Černými lesy, nám.; between Říčany, průmysl. areál Černokostelecká and Kostelec nad Černými lesy, nám. the bus only operates on Friday and Saturday nights.
