LIST OF CHRISTMAS MARKETS, where you can buy original Christmas decorations, presents and refreshments.
As usual, the largest market is in the Old Town Square, where both Praguers and tourists also come to admire the Christmas tree and illumination. The stalls are placed around the John Huss statue and include all that is expected from them: mulled wine, mead, trdelník, edible chestnuts, glass decoration or knitted products. There are also special children’s workshops, where kids can make their own decorations, write to baby Jesus and see a puppet theatre.
The market has its daily cultural programme, which will culminate on Christmas Eve, with Ryba’s Czech Christmas Mass. Stalls in the Old Town Square are open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (refreshments two hours longer). The market will be held until 1st January.
Wenceslas Square Christmas Market
Wenceslas Square Christmas Market is placed in the lower part of the square. It offers refreshment, inspiration for little presents made of textiles, wood, metal and glass. An unobtrusive Christmas tree has been placed near the pedestrian zone and Na Můstku Street.
The market will be held until 8th January, daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., refreshment until midnight.

Christmas Market in Náměstí Míru
A purple tree and some sixty wooden stalls – that is the Christmas market in the main square of Prague 2. As usual, the civic association make their presentation in stall no. 28, where they sell their products.

Christmas Market at Jiřího z Poděbrad
The market in Prague 3 joins a Christmas market with a farmers‘ market, which creates a special atmosphere.
The market is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Christmas Eve, farmers‘ market can be visited every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, except the feast days. Cultural programme culminates with Ryba’s Czech Christmas Mass in the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord on 22nd December (19.30 h) and 25th December (16 h), admission is free.
