The Prague Castle belongs with his Art and Architectonical
Character, but also with its historical meaning to the most
important cultural monuments in the Czech Republic.
As a residency of the Czech monarchs and later on presidents,
became the Prague Castle the area, where the architectonic
styles reflexes the needs and also the elegance of its inhabitants.
Notwithstanding that it was always perceived as a seat
of the governing institution (monarch or president), in its
territory there is a lot of other buildings (e. g. the St Vitus Cathedral,
noble palaces, the Monastery complex of St. George
with the St. George Basilica etc.). Thanks to these facts is this
exceptional complex of buildings often visited by the home and
foreign visitors.
