Prague public transportation is very efficient, cheap, safe and highly integrated, making travel around the city by metro, tram and bus easy.
Prague Transportation System includes:
1) Prague Metro
Prague Metro operates daily from 05:00 to midnight.
Peak interval: 2 - 4 minutes
Off-peak interval: 4 - 10 minutes
All areas of the city centre are covered by three metro lines: A (green), B (yellow) and C (red). The map of the metro system you can find in any metro station and in trains.
The Prague metro is very reliable and offers a safe form of public transportation around the city at high speeds.
2) Prague Trams
Prague trams operate daily from 4:30 a.m. to 12.15 a.m.
Morning rush hour and afternoon interval: 8 minutes.
Post-morning rush hour interval: 10 minutes.
Weekend interval: 7,5 or 15 minutes.
Night operation from 12.15 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Night interval: 30 minutes.
Central night-time transfer point: Lazarska stop.
3) Prague Buses
Day operation from 4:30 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.
Morning rush hour and afternoon interval: 5 to 15 minutes.
Post-morning rush hour interval: 10 - 20 minutes.
Weekend interval: 10 to 60 minutes.
Night operation from 12:15 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Night interval: 30 to 60 minutes.
Night bus lines with 30-minute interval: 504, 505, 508, 510, 511 and 512.
Night bus lines with 60-minute interval: 501, 502, 503, 506, 507 and 509.
Bus lines with special intervals: 513, 60, 502, 503, 604, 605, 606 and 607.

Validate your tickets properly !
In trams and buses, use the ticket validation machines located on the holding poles nearby the vehicle doors.
In metro stations and the funicular, use the validation machines located at station entrances.
Validate tickets immediately upon entering the vehicle or upon entering the station transportation area.
