Inside the Church of St. Nicholas you can expect to see a ceiling decorated with a beautiful chandelier and paintings that depicts the lifes of St. Nicholas and St. Benedict. Today, concerts také place regularly here.
The Church of St. Nicholas was finished in 1735 on the sight of an earlier church by the same architect that built the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Lesser Town, Kilian Dientzenhofer. The church had the original intention of being a Benedictine Monastery. Until 1901, the Church of St. Nicholas couldn't be sceen from the Old Town Square because of a house blocking the white facade. Since the construction, it has been in the possesion of whatever party was in power of the Bohemia region.
