An oil massage of the entire back, shoulders and neck. This is one of the favourite treatments for those who spend their days at the office and who need a remedy for their stiff or aching muscles. The massage is carried out in horizontal position. A special oil for aching back is used which contains among other things clove bud, marjoram, lavender, and is based on tutsan extract. This oil is warming, calming, relieves muscular pain, helps against bruises, loosens stiff muscles, and it has a tranquilising impact upon psychological stress.
Indian massages and treatments help much better to flush these toxins out of our joints and organs, especially out of the skin on which it has a significant rejuvenation effect. To achieve this, Ayurveda uses different herbs and roots which are steamed to administer their active substances, oils and extracts from roots in the form of powders which are applied to the skin. The effect of these substances was discovered from the pharmaceutical industry around 20 years ago, which already put dozens of patents on these active substances. As the ayurvedic medicine already uses these substances for thousands of years, these patents were successfully contested and announced legally invalid 15 years ago.
This fact alone shows a worldwide recognition of the ayurvedic medicine, it's active substances and it`s old knowledge of the human body. Through the combination of Yoga with Ayurveda, 2500 years ago in Thailands temples the Traditional Thai Massage was developed. Therefore you may see a relation between some of the treatments, but Ayurvedic Massage is a bit more gentle and more focused on detoxication and rejuvenation of skin and body.
